Eating habits
Healthy and correct eating habits are crucial for keeping our beauty. For women, there are three main foods that can directly affect our health, according to the Ayurveda, ancient healing system. They are: sweets, dairy and vegetables. All of them are very good for our feminine and hormonal health in their own way.
Sweet products and sweet taste are very beneficial for our hormonal system. They soothe and calm us down, and really affect our mood in a good way. This is not to say that we should only be eating cakes and candies all the time. We can choose healthier and more whole alternatives such as: dates, bananas, raisins, and other dry fruits, sweets made with organic unprocessed sugars. It would be even more beneficial if we eat these sweet products in the first half of the day – morning and early afternoon. That is when they digest better as well.
Dairy products, made from whole organic milk, can be also very good for our feminine health. According to Ayurveda, moon has the lunar energy, the energy of the Moon – feminine polarity. Dairy foods are very calming as well, and “feeding” our femininity on a very subtle and deep level. Very effective products are cream, sour cream, milk.
Vegetables are good for our overall health, and they are especially good for us, women. They possess a very strong lunar energy as well, enhancing and balancing our hormonal functions.
Products like meat and flour should be avoided as much as possible because of them creating a counter-action – decreasing soft, delicate energy of femininity.
Another important factor that affects our beauty is to make sure that we eat with the proper people around us. What are “proper people” and why is it important? When we eat, our energy centers – chakras, become more opened. The process of ingesting the food is when we are most vulnerable and unprotected energetically. Because this is the time when we nourish our bodies. So this time is extremely important and we should always be cautious where we eat and who is eating with us. When we have our family as our company, that is the best way.
Since we are all open, on the energy level, the process of energy exchange will take place while we eat. Now, think about dating. When you date someone you don’t know well enough or don’t particularly enjoy, you might want to avoid eating together until better times. If there is no one around that you feel comfortable with, it is always better to eat alone. Our energetic health is very important for our beauty, after all 😉
Sleeping habits
Sleep is a true beauty remedy. When woman has enough sleep, she is already beautiful without any additional efforts. Ayurvedic beauty tips recommend going to bed no later than 10 p.m. The explanation is simple: the hormones of beauty and femininity are being produced during the first half of the night, from about 9.00 p.m. until 12.30 a.m., when the Moon is rising. And remember, that Moon is our representative of femininity on the sky? If you go to sleep between 9.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m., your mind will get calmer, stress and worries will go away faster, and this will provide us with balance and harmony in our heart and soul. It is recommended to wake up around 6 a.m.
