French women, or European women, are in general slim and feminine. Why is that? Well, there are a few things to reflect on to be able to effortlessly become healthy and slim. With no artificial efforts, like hard workout or gym. Which I am not against them, but they are not something I like or prefer for my body and health.

What do European women do to maintain slim body?

Good food. They eat mostly good local/seasonal products and they do eat everything, including dessert, without a tiny feeling of guilt. Why? Small portions. And small plates. You can eat it all if it is a little bit of everything. Sweets are actually healthy for a woman’s psyche. Indulging mindfully is the first key.

Healthy mentality. They accept their female bodies and all (!) their curves. Healthy feminine curves that show they are in fact women, and not men. Embracing the body however does not equal getting lazy and obese, which is a second key. And it is leading to the next one.

Life as a form exercise. In Europe, people have cars but rarely use them. Instead, they either use public transportation or simply – walk. Daily shopping from one grocery store to another makes you move. Conveniently huge grocery stores with “all-in-one” stuff in US made it easier to shop but also lazier. Europeans run up and down using the stairs. Elevator is a great useful tool when you need to get to the 50th floor maybe. But you can definitely take stairs if it’s 2nd or 3rd, or even 5th. They walk instead of driving, which can be harder here in US. However you can always just go out and walk on your actual feet. Using bike for everything is very common and very popular. House cleaning – fantastic way to move, you can also dance if you’re doing it with music. Running all errands on foot, carrying bags in your hands is their ultimate daily exercise.

What else can you do to make your body beautiful and fit?

You can also simply go out and explore your neighborhood. Park your car as far away as possible to do those extra steps and move. Dog walk, the real one, not just standing outside while the dog does its business.

In brief, don’t be lazy and move, move more. Honestly start loving your body and it’s soft female forms, get friends (and maybe even lovers) with your body. Do eat good food in the right amount. And that chocolate will make you happier if you truly eat it with pleasure and joy instead of fear.
