Ever since I started learning Vedic astrology, I see how planets are tightly connected to us all and how they direct our lives. And whether we like it or not, for women the main planet that does all that is the Moon. A woman’s nature is a lunar nature. And woman’s path is the lunar path. That’s just how things are, by nature. Realizing this gives us hints and tips on how to navigate through life without the least amount of resistance and the most amount of harmony.
A Woman’s Path
Here is what I mean. A woman should follow a woman’s path, otherwise, life will make her do that. Her path is that of the Moon, a lunar one. What is the difference between the light of the Moon and the light of the Sun? Lunar light is soft and cooling. A woman is a Moon. However many women would say “I am not the soft and gentle Moon at all. I am a real Sun! Bright and loud”. You probably know a woman like that, and she can sometimes remind you of a man. It would seem like she received the wrong body and she doesn’t know what to do with it. Because her behavior is very masculine.
The thing is, by being like that, she argues with nature. There is a reason she received a female body and a female incarnation in this life. This simply means that whether she likes it or not, she would have to follow her woman’s feminine Moon path. I mean, of course, she can choose not to. We all have free will, don’t we?
In Vedic astrology, they say that you will follow your true path one way or another. If you know your true nature, then you simply will follow your true path. And if you don’t know your true nature, then stars will make you follow your path one way or another, maybe even forcefully dragging you by the hair. So, eventually, your path will be fulfilled. So, we either follow it with struggles and arguing, or we do it with harmony and acceptance, and peace. The smart way of doing it would probably be the latter one. The less struggling, the less time and energy wasted on survival and more spent on growth and blooming.
Lunar vs. Solar Path
The light of the Moon is very beneficial for women. If we are unstable during the Full Moon, when the Moon’s force is the strongest, we may be too much on the side of the Sun. Just pay attention next time to how are you when the Moon is full because your emotions are directly connected with the Moon. Vedic astrology mainly looks at the Moon sign, not the Sun sign. Moon sign is what you are inside, the real you. It shows your true essence.
Moon has a special role in our human world. It brings mysticism, changes, and its light calms us down and cools us. It never burns us. If you notice, many poems are about Moonlight, walks or dates under the Moon, even the Moon color of the skin. That is how much Moon influences woman, and that is how much woman influences everyone else. We will look at the Moon qualities of woman’s nature again in a minute. If you influence everyone like a Sun, then most likely you will get a lot of resistance in life. You know why? Because the Sun is about leadership. And when do we argue generally? When two people who are both Masters get together. If only one of them is not in the position of the Master, then there will be no arguing.
Lunar Qualities For Woman
So what are those Moon or Lunar qualities I mentioned earlier? They basically describe a woman’s nature as it is, in its pure undisturbed and unchanged form. Here they are:
Softness. Gentleness. Dependability. Timidity. Docility.
Softness and gentleness we can understand. Dependability is actually the essential quality of a real woman. And this is not something she should be getting rid of. On the contrary, a woman should accept that as a fact. Being dependable is what brings out the Lunar nature. Moon would not be so gorgeous without the Sun. Meditate on it.
Timidity is another necessary quality for every woman. No matter how powerful and strong a woman can be, deep inside she is still timid and fearful. If a woman is reckless, that means inside of her there is a fear that makes attacking her first choice, rather than facing her own fear.
Docility and obedience are one of the most mysterious and magical qualities of a woman. Modern society is trying to show women they don’t need it, however, it is a woman’s innate state. And you really have to spend a lot of time to change that. And sadly, it happens to all the little girls. If a woman is being stubborn, there are some serious reasons why. And most of it comes from our childhood when our nature gets broken under the excuse of “upbringing”. In fact, this often is about ignoring our true nature and breaking us into something that is more convenient for our parents. When they ignore our individuality and our opinion, when they suppress us, then we really learn how to become stubborn.
The explanation is very simple. Every child has the same nature – to live. For example, if we force a child to sleep during the day and a child does not want to, we break her. In a way, it is a message to the child “don’t live, die”. Because we break child’s life to make our own life more convenient for us. Because if a child sleeps during the day, a mom can have some time for herself, right? So a child’s riot is a healthy riot at that age. However, this riot stays with us further. And we keep rioting later as adult women. This is not acting in harmony, this is acting outside of our harmonious nature. And as a result, it destroys us.
Being obedient and docile is a natural woman’s quality. And more than that, this quality makes a woman prettier. All of the women who are stubborn and rebellious usually equal problems. So basically, if a woman chooses to fight and be stubborn, she will live a life of struggle and pain. This will be her path – a path of pain. This is life’s way of showing her that the way she chose may not be the right one but she will still follow it because life drags her by the hair. So, if you are having a hard time now, it is just your life dragging you where you need to be. And that just means that you need to stop and take another path – your own quiet and peaceful Lunar path of a woman.
This is so true. I’ve always had to fight to get even essential things starting with my parents, father especially. I thought maybe it’s because I have my moon in Vishakha nakshatra which is a masculine nakshatra. And everything you said about breaking a child happened to me constantly. Now I don’t know how to relax, I even developed a manly body and people tend to either get intimidated or put off by me. It makes me sad, but I don’t know what else to do.
Hi Daniella! Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. The fact that it makes you sad means that there is something you can do about it. I am working on a course for women now and will talk about relaxation and exactly that – how to move from feeling more masculine to feeling feminine again. You are welcome to join it once it is out! In the meantime, please read my other articles on my blog, they may give you some insights and ideas to meditate on <3
