Imagine a wild river. Somewhere in the forest, with rocks, turns, water grass. It goes and goes, daily, through all of the obstacles, and eventually reaches her destination. She flows through all of those rocks, big or small, through all of those turns, ups, and downs. She flows through grass, through trees and bushes. That is how a woman in a flow is. She accepts everything that is around her and part of her, and keeps being herself and going where she needs to go.
When we say “flow”, we can imagine maybe a yoga flow or a period flow, but in the context of womanhood and femininity, we will be talking about energetic or Divine flow. That flow of life that goes through all of us, men or women, but only some of us can catch it, and some of us, like women, should literally live it.
What Is “Being in a Flow”?
Being in a flow, or flow-ability, is a very natural and authentic woman’s state. It is not necessarily about being carefree and just surrendering to your destiny. It is more of an ability to get in tune with what is happening at this very moment and fully embrace it. This kind of woman’s state is incredibly resourceful. This is where every woman gets power essentially.
A woman should always be in a flow because it is her natural state of being, her true nature. When a man beside her provides full protection and safety in the outside world, a woman finally completely relaxes (she does not need to be on guard anymore to protect herself), she comes into this Divine flow and then connects her man and her family to this same flow. If there is no man beside woman yet, God replaces him. “God” is just a word, it can be anything that means Divine or Sacred to you that feels higher and more powerful than you.
So at that period of time, she receives protection and safety directly from God. This is how trust manifests. It is important for a woman not to quit her flow. This is how she lives, how she creates and fills everything around her. A flow brings out a creative state, which then manifests creative thoughts, and that is how a woman’s wisdom happens.
Flow-ability is the basis of such woman’s qualities as intuition, acceptance, emotionality, lightness, flexibility, adaptability. Woman in a flow is incredibly flexible, intuitive, deeply and delicately sensitive, magical, in contact with herself and the world around her. She charms everyone with her mesmerizing attractiveness and calmness. And she is light, free, open, and accepting. She is always in a state of love and trust.
Steps to Get in the Flow
If it sounds unrealistic, it is only because you have not tried it yet. But how can you do it and how can you get in that flow? Getting in the flow is an important skill that every woman should ideally have, and more than that, she also should have the skill of not getting out of there anymore.
Here are 3 main ways of getting in the Flow.
Nature
First step is going back to Nature. For a woman, Nature is like her sister. Spending time in Nature is so incredibly nourishing, invigorating, and calming at the same time. It is a true and ultimate therapy. And these are not just words. Nature is saturated with pure energy. It is everywhere, and especially if it is wild, it is even more powerful, not “domesticated” or created by humans. We lack this wild, free energy in the cities. If you live in the city, make it a necessity to spend time in nature weekly. Ideally, women should be in nature daily, walking for 1-2 hours. Being barefoot, touching trees, listening to the wind, looking at the dancing flowers and bees. And of course, spending time by the water or river.
City depletes you greatly so being in nature is the number one step to get back into your Flow. Think of it as the main Vitamin of health and beauty for yourself. Try for one month to regularly spend time in nature and you will notice the difference. Your sleep will get better, your skin will become smoother, your heart will feel happier. Then, once you are full of Nature, be careful about how your share this fullness.
Share
Second step is to share. We as humans naturally only want to receive everything and take, take, take. This is a childish habit that sometimes stays with us for the rest of our life. When you are a woman in a flow, you will naturally want to give as you are overfilled inside. And this is the right way of sharing and giving – from abundance. When you are depleted, giving something will cause issues for you and the person you are giving it to. That is when you need to learn to have healthy boundaries and say “no” when you know you have nothing inside. Take time for yourself, recharge and then give.
And when you give, give without expectation. Give just because. For instance, you can say a compliment to a woman on a street, because you are full inside. That will probably make her smile and make her day. She will then share this joy with her friends or family, or anyone else she meets that day. This is how you start these riddles of happiness, simply out of the state of being in a flow.
Trust
Third step is to stay connected to that Divine, and trust. This is kind of like a catch-22, in a good way. You trust – you come in the flow – you trust even more. This concept is very difficult for Western people. They are used to hustle get things themselves. This is how the culture is – we need to be go-getters, to actively make our life happen. This sounds very aggressive and masculine to me.
What if we make things happen in life that we don’t necessarily need? And it creates problems for us as a consequence of our actions. Then we have to deal with that. This is not a life of a Woman in a flow. Woman’s wishes come true, some sooner, some later. It is just a matter of trust, acceptance, patience. And those are all the qualities that are not a priority anymore, sadly. These wonderful feminine qualities create a state of Sattva, an Ayurvedic term for “blissful, harmonious”. Being in harmony with existence is essentially being in a flow.
Examples of Flow-ability
Specific real-life examples to make it less abstract and more concrete:
– You have internet daily, you use it without realizing it. Then suddenly it cuts off. Most people panic. A woman in a flow accepts it as a fact and goes about her day. So what there is no internet? You have plenty of things to do in your house, or maybe you finally go outside and take that walk. You may even visit a friend or a local farmer’s market.
– Electricity shuts down, no power in your neighborhood. Wonderful! Time to get romantic, take out candles and put them everywhere. Spend time with yourself or with each other. Look at the stars. Dance.
– You were expecting to buy something at the store and it is not there. No big deal. You just get something else instead, maybe something you’ve always wanted to try but never got to it. Maybe you just need to come back later, and now is not the best time for it.
– A disease happens. This is usually a hard one. However, a disease is our teacher. Our body is not our enemy, it only tries hard to show us that something is wrong. The time has come to slow down, re-evaluate, make priorities. Time to go inward.
Something you really want in life does not happen. Especially when it is something you cannot control. It can be a relationship, a marriage, or maybe a baby. When we want something really really bad, that means we are in fear of not receiving it. So we block this flow with our strong desire. And this is exactly where we need it the most. Our efforts and brains will only make things worse. This is where we need to relax and be in the flow. Trust that it will happen when you need it the most.
And so on, and so forth. This is an amazing creative approach to live, which is incredibly feminine. This is where our power lies – in this indestructible spirit of acceptance, adaptability, and trust. Trust the flow you are in. When you are disconnected from your Flow, from the Divine, you try to control everything and get everything only with your efforts.
Be a woman in a flow. And you will always receive the best of the things that you deserve. Be that river that keeps flowing no matter the rocks and the turns. This is your internal flow too, your feminine internal power, the source of serenity, confidence, and absolute surrendering. Once you discover that flow inside of you, your next important step is to always let it be there, let it stay there. That is when you become a truly powerful, indestructible woman.
