Today I wanted to share something about such thing as house cleaning. I know some women enjoy doing it, some don’t and some have favorite chores only while other ones they chose to avoid.
Since most, if not all, of my articles have some magical element in them and mention the subtle energetic aspects of the subject, this is not an exception.
Best Feminine Activities
Here is a little intro on the activity for women in general. If we talk about best feminine activities, guess what? That would be the one where a woman is least active. Yes, the one where a woman is as passive as possible is the best type of “activity” for her in terms of energy. Because the best way to have rest and return your energy back is to do nothing. That’s right, nothing at all. This is not called “being lazy”, although you can call it that too. It is a perfect, most natural, most powerful woman’s type of activity in order to recharge and rejuvenate.
Now, considering what I just said, the next best activity for a woman would be the one where there is activity that does not have a final goal. This means the activity that woman does is not for the result but solely for the process itself. Because woman’s nature is not about results, it is about the process. For the same reason the best type of job for a woman is the one where she enjoys the process itself, environment, people and does not have strict deadlines and final goals to reach. This is a masculine work structure, men would feel happy and very content and satisfied there, not women.
Going back to the topic of this article, house cleaning is a perfect example of such activity without a final and ultimate goal. Of course, the house is clean and everything looks pretty at end, but in reality this activity never ends. Soon enough you need to clean it again, right? So it is an ongoing process that keeps on happening, and therefore a perfect activity for a woman. Because she will actually fill herself with feminine energy, too.
Magical Elements
The reason why house cleaning is so magical and filling for a woman is simple: she is in contact with all the Earth Elements while she does house cleaning. The Elements, and energies, of Earth, Fire, Water and Air are there. They fill a woman up very good which gives her this great feeling of satisfaction in the end inside and this feeling of newness and purity on the outside.
Additionally, if we go deeper into the magical reality of things, this particular practice fills us with feminine energy that goes directly into our womb. This is the main place where we store all our feminine power. Even if there is no physical organ, it still accumulates in that same area. Body memory works this way.
And another reason why a woman is being filled so good during house cleaning is because for a woman, as a representation of Yin energy, it is best to be in contact with material world (as opposed for a man where it is ideas and thoughts and concepts). Woman’s modality is always material world, mother Earth, Earth elements. This is her domain. So a house is entirely her kingdom. So if she is wise enough, she can become a Goddess and a Sorcerer all in one and create real magic.
Now let’s jump in into some examples of what kind of magic we can create while doing chores.
Cooking
I have made a whole post about cooking and how magical it can be. The process itself is incredibly sacred and filling. Not only because it is an absolute and pure example of creativity in action but also because of the feeling of satisfaction all women get when they feed someone.
And this is also very normal, and very feminine. A woman, remember, is connected to mother Earth. And what does mother Earth do? Being a mother, she feeds us, she nourishes us. So it is only natural to love cooking and be happy when someone enjoys your food. And I am not even going to talk about all the medicinal and magical intentions a woman can put in her dishes to make her family healthier and happier. A true Goddess of Cooking. Floor Mopping
While not very many like it, this can actually be a very sacred and very magical thing to do. There are plenty of devices you can use, but even if you just do moping with your own hands, you can do it magically. It is very simple: while you mop or clean the floor, imagine yourself a Goddess of Cleaning in your Divine Castle. Imagine, how while you’re mopping, you clean your life from all the negativity, and the life of your loved ones. You can also pray or chant mantras while you mop, visualizing how not only physical but all subtle dirty energies are going away. If there was an argument or some fight in the house earlier, do the mopping and you will feel the difference right away.
Making Dishes
This is another opportunity to clean your whole life, and even karma. No kidding here. If you take it seriously enough, and see it as a sacred ritual, you can set intentions while you are washing your next plate, or better yet – your next greasy pan. The greasier – the better. That means – the more negativity you can wash away.
You can also think of that (and all chores, really) as a type of meditation. Additionally, in Vedic tradition doing hand dishwashing is very healing and can help with many diseases. Dishwasher does not have the same effect, it should only be done with hands. Vedas say it cleanses and purifies your heart, making it kinder and more patient. For this reason guests should never wash your dishes, even if they want to. As well as men. This is a sacred woman’s duty (no matter how much you don’t like this idea, it doesn’t change the way it works).
Ironing
I am not sure who even does it still. I don’t, for example. Nevertheless, you can still be an Ironing Goddess too! How to make it magical? Easy. Next time you have something to iron (and the more – the better, again), imagine how you iron away all the obstacles and difficulties in your life and in the life of you family. How with every stroke one problem goes away, just like that. You can also think of you life path and visualize, how you make it straighter and clearer as you iron.
Gardening
This one is a no-brainer. Women are Earth, so working with literal earth and dirt is a god given gift. Not only it is incredibly healing and grounding, but is also connects us with plant kingdom that is very helpful for additional energy clearing. Plants, especially flowers for women, are very good helpers and they can take away all the negative energy away from us. You may also talk to your garden and everything that you plant. Trust me, they all hear and understand you on a subtle level. So being a Goddess of Gardening is also very easy and rewarding.
There you have it, Cleaning Goddess. Be creative and think of other chores you can turn into a whole ritual!
Interaction with gross physical world, where we can touch something with our hands, is very important and very filling for us. Please remember that. Don’t think of our house duties as an old-fashioned, outdated tradition. It has a very deep, sacred meaning that many of us forgot, sadly. But I am here to remind you about all of that, and more 😉
