In this short but sweet article, I will share a wonderful and absolutely delicious woman’s meditation. Why for women? This meditation does a good job of bringing us back to our bodies from our heads. And here is why this is a good way of things for a woman.
Woman’s main center of everything lays inside her belly, to be precise – in her womb. This is literally her everything. This is where life comes from obviously (which is already a big enough reason), but so as ideas, creations, intuition, feminine energy, and many other woman’s things. Staying there most of our lives is not only natural but also crucial for our sanity and health. We have a wonderful head on our shoulders too, but believe me – staying there most of the time will only bring us more worries than joys.
Actually, instead of me trying to convince you, I am inviting you to practice this delicious woman’s meditation for the next 1-2 weeks several times a week and see how it makes you feel. And then notice how everyone else around you feels, and just how life goes in general.
Delicious Meditation “Pebbles and Bubbles”
In this meditation, we will use visualization where we will imagine little pebbles, and then little bubbles. So, this lovely mediation is also rather creative and fun. Just like what a woman needs 🙂
Step 1. Sit down comfortably and make sure no one disturbs you for the next 10-15-20 minutes. Dress comfy and warm.
Step 2. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Realize that for the next few minutes you will be present just with yourself and your own body. Take a few breaths into your lower abdomen, your hips, and thighs. Realize how precious this time is because you are taking care of yourself. This is pure self-love.
Step 3. Now, as you continue breathing, gradually start taking notes of the areas of your body that are most tensed. Usually, this would be neck, shoulders, back, maybe abdomen, or your legs. And as you note these places, imagine how you have heavy little pebbles there, ready to move. At the same time, start swaying slowly to any direction: left to right or back to front, just like a roly-poly doll.
Step 4. As you keep breathing and moving, those pebbles of heaviness and tension slowly start moving and falling right into your lower belly and hips area. So, with each inhale you bring your attention to your tensed area, and then with each exhale those pebbles fall into your belly. Just keep doing that until you feel all of your pebbles are gathered in your lower belly and thighs. And that area becomes heavier and heavier. Do that for as long as you feel needed. Don’t forget to sway.
Step 5. Now, while still breathing consciously and slowly moving, visualize little bubbles all over your body. They are as little as champagne or sparkling water bubbles. So they are jumpy and flying. With each exhale guide these bubbles straight into your head. Inhale – notice your bubbles, exhale – direct them into your head. And as you keep breathing, your head gets lighter and lighter. Do that for as long as you feel needed. Don’t forget to sway.
Step 6. Now you feel that you have a very heavy lower belly, so heavy that even when you keep moving to your sides, you cannot fall. Your belly holds you grounded and connected to the earth. And you can move in any direction because your head is so light, almost empty. This way it is so much easier to sway back and forth, left and right. Do that delicious trance-like movement for a few minutes. You can visualize your head getting so light that it almost does not exist, and barely there.
Step 7. What you are by now is the ideal state of every woman daily. You have a heavy, grounded, centered abdomen, and light and breezy head. A woman only needs her head in a few cases in life. The majority of the time she can feel everything from her womb, from her intuition. Her body will tell her much more than her head. Her body has all the answers, and the one thing she should learn is to listen to it. This delicious woman’s meditation teaches you that because it connects you really well with your body while building a correct balance of energies: heavy bottom, light top.
Additionally, if you have seen the movie “Eat. Pray. Love”, there was an image there that Balinese healer gave to the heroine, that had four legs, and no head. This is precisely the state that a woman should pursue. A roly-poly doll is also a great image and example. Besides, when you have a light head, you have fewer wrinkles because most of the wrinkles come from too much thinking 😉
I would encourage you to get yourself a roly-poly doll and look at it, and even sway it once in a while. No matter which direction it sways, it stays grounded and always comes back up. Enjoy your delicious woman’s meditation, lovely!
