What is the divine feminine and why all of a sudden it is getting so popular lately? I don’t want to become too esoteric here and talk about the awakening of the planet and the change of vibrations (although that is what is happening). I would like to talk about the divine feminine from the perspective of history, and to be more precise – from the perspective of the ancient Vedic knowledge.
To be born in a woman’s body and to become a real woman are two different things. Unfortunately, modern people forgot the latter one almost completely. There may be a reason for that, and we are all moving to the genderless neutral civilization, I must agree I thought of that. At the same time, I feel like most people feel lost in this neutrality, and it causes many various mental issues and issues with self-identification. When in nature it is and has always been very simple – there is a masculine, a man, and a feminine, a woman. And ancient Vedic knowledge has plenty of information about the divine feminine, let’s delve into it further.
The Divine Feminine Through Wisdom of Vedas
I love Vedic culture because it used to be the main culture all over the world 5000 years ago. Today it is almost gone, and only people who value and cherish this ancient knowledge try to pass it over. Thanks to them we can learn about the laws and traditions of life at that time. Those laws are universal and timeless, which means they still work to this day. Why? Because the laws are about human nature and nature in general. And neither nature nor humans really change. So, since we have not really gotten a set of rules on how to live life when we were born, maybe we could take a peek at that ancient 5000-year old knowledge of life and get some insights?
In Sanskrit, an ancient language, the word girl, “Devi”, means “divine”.
In Vedic culture, women have always been extremely respected. Everything began with that birth of a girl. In Sanskrit, an ancient language, the word girl, “Devi”, means “divine”. You might see the correlation already – dev/div. So, it was believed that a girl was born perfect, an ideal creature. And her main duty of the entire life is to keep her purity, her perfection. Girls are inherently closer to God than boys because they are entirely made of service. Since their birth, they all want to serve and help unconditionally. So, to serve is a woman’s life mission. This was the way in all traditional cultures and countries, and it is still the way somewhere. Traditional – when a woman is respected, and when the elder is respected.
Here are some other facts about divine feminine nature from Vedas:
❦ A woman’s feelings are 6 times stronger than those of a man
❦ The intellect of a woman is 9 times more powerful than that of a man
❦ The mind of a woman is purer than that of a man (although weaker)
❦ A girl has the strongest power – the power of chastity that can withstand any bad luck and evil eye
❦ A woman is made of service – she always wants to help someone
❦ Women give life to children
Now, all of those do not mean that woman is better than a man. It means that we, as women, have abilities that allow us to perfectly follow and fulfill our role in this world. For instance, a man does not need such strength of feelings and emotions, because when he is out there hunting (for food or for opportunities), he might make a mistake from all the worrying. And he also does not need as much depth of the intellect, otherwise, he will always be in doubt about everything. Can you already see how everything works perfectly in nature?
Meanwhile, for a woman and for her role, those qualities are very important. Her emotions and feelings help her raise children, decorate the house, decorate herself even. Her deep intellect helps her find a way to man’s heart. Unfortunately, in modern times things are not so smooth anymore, neither for women nor for men.
Lost Women’s Happiness
Unfortunately, the word “woman” has now become almost an insult. When mothers have their daughters, they are already scared that their babies might become simple wives and mothers. We keep seeing everywhere that if a woman does something wrong or differently, the main explanation is “Well, she is a woman. What else do you want from her?” And of course, the whole thing with employment where everyone prefers to hire men to women, and the salary differences issues.
Of course, all of these things naturally push us to protest against them. And we try to fight for our rights and our freedom. However, usually, we don’t even know what kind of rights we need exactly. Because let’s see: working 10 hours a day does not make a woman happy, does it? A right to vote does not really do it either, does it? And other things like the right to not marry, the right to not give birth, the right to not be just a housewife. All of these things women were (and sometimes still are) fighting to prove something to men. And again – it still does not make them happy.
On top of that, it does not make men happy either. Now, in addition to “fighting” with the outside world to conquer and win, men also need to do the same with their women. Sadly, this fighting does not have winners, because everyone always loses. So what has happened and what would make women happy?
Ancient Secret of Woman’s Divine Feminine Perfection
Let’s go back to Vedic wisdom and look at our own little girls. When they are born, they are indeed already perfect, comparing to boys. They are much nicer, more polite, they are shy, they naturally want to feed everyone, they teach things to their dolls. They naturally play being mothers, teachers, doctors – all that they are doing is wanting to serve, from the very beginning! Little girls are extremely tender and sweet, they give a lot and they give a lot of love. They have an incredible imagination, and they are very simple and pure. They are happy. Because they live their nature fully.
Until the moment their parents start “preparing” them to the real world and to the idea that life is a mess full of pain and suffering, where they need to survive. In ancient times they still remembered that a girl was perfect. No one wanted to change her. On the contrary, everyone was teaching her about her divine feminine nature. They were pampered a lot, they had a lot of compliments. Everyone was trying to help her grow her natural talents. This was the way how girls were learning to keep their confidence and sense of self-worth.
In ancient times they still remembered that a girl was perfect. No one wanted to change her.
Things work differently now, which causes women to think that something is wrong with them. They don’t understand their divine perfect nature, their wholeness, and holiness, so they are constantly busy with self-improvement, self-development. And they work on themselves trying to become better in a man’s way. They set goals, make plans, and try to reach them growing their determination, willpower, and persistence. All of those qualities are naturally masculine.
Embrace Your Divine Femininity
So, it all comes from childhood. Mothers teach their daughters that they are never enough, and need to constantly work on themselves to become smarter and stronger, in other words – to not accept the way they already are but to change themselves. Of course, this creates the lack of self-worth automatically, and leads to more frustrations and confusion in growing girls, which only pushes them to more “work on themselves”. So women go out there and chase a degree, a successful career, a successful business. To do all they can to be fierce, and bold, and brave.
So in all of this chase, we lose our initial precious essence. So now we have a whole generation of women who are great at making money and building business, but they don’t know how to cook, they don’t like or even want children, they don’t sing, they don’t dance. Are they really happy like that?
Two Extremes of Modern Women
With all of that happening, we have two extremes that women end up with. Because a girl that was raised as a boy, where she needs to be smartest and strongest, have two ways in life. She either becomes basically a man. Her character grows stronger, she gets tougher, she reaches her goals by herself and sooner or later accepts the idea of emancipation. She thinks that men are worthless and they don’t do much, and why does she even need men in her life anymore.
The second way is the opposite. The woman gives up. She does not want to become a man, but she neither wants to be a woman. So she becomes a victim. Either victim of a husband who is an alcoholic or drug addict. Or maybe a victim of domestic violence and abuse. Or a victim of her own parents and friends. She loses a sense of self-worth and self-confidence because it was completely taken away from her in her childhood.
Obviously, both of these ways are unnecessary extremes, and the truth is like always somewhere in the middle. However, both of these ways have the same reason – ignorance about woman’s true essence and nature. Women cannot be better or worse than men. We are simply different, and we all have different functions and roles in this life.
You Were Created As A Woman To Be A Woman
Women were created as women by the Creator or God, and they received an amazing gift, a gift of womanhood also known as the divine feminine. We just don’t think it is valuable enough for some reason and don’t treat it well. Instead, we throw it away. And only by following our gift and our nature is when we can fully and completely fulfill our unique qualities and abilities.
This explains perfectly why a woman, who follows man’s path, will never be happy. She does not follow her role in this world, she does not fulfill her function and her abilities. And her abilities are just so ideal for using them on another path – her own. We cannot get rid of our nature, no matter how hard we try.
So, there is a third path. No matter what happened in your childhood, no matter what is happening now and what you had to go through in life, you always have a choice. And our choice as women is to finally recognize our nature and start following it.
Womanly Woman Embraces The Divine Feminine
The minute we remember who we are and what our life mission is, the whole world changes. We get our self-confidence back, and people start treating us differently. Because we know who we are now, and we know what we want. We have our self-worth back. That is when WE choose who to spend time with. WE choose who to marry. WE choose our boundaries and where we feel and don’t feel good. That is when we are truly a gift to a whole world.
A woman with self-worth will always be happy.
Now, did you notice something? The minute you realize your divine feminine nature, you get your power back. Your NATURAL feminine power. And you do not need to fight for it, you do not need to compete for it. You already have it in you, and it has always been there all this time. You just need to claim it.
A woman with self-worth will always be happy. And her happiness attracts the best people, the best opportunities in life naturally, without any fight. Wonderful worthy men come into her life because they all enjoy being around such a bright light. Amazing friends come along as well, and children are blooming with a mother like that. Because everyone sees how whole and happy she is.
Remember who you are, and you will never lose yourself again.
What an eye opener.
