Why do women should synchronize their cycles with the Moon? And most importantly – how to do that? Moon is a very important planet for every woman, and I have written about it many times before. Nature is magic and a woman has a very tight sacred connection with it through the means of her menstrual cycle. Moon represents silver, while blood represents gold. The Moon cycle and blood cycle are the two most amazing miracles in this world.
The Importance of Moon For Women
Moon is also a very important planet in astrology too because it shows our psychological health and how we see this world. Moon is the feminine principle, the Yin and Shakti. And if Sun is the light, day, and warmth, the Moon is the darkness, night, and cold. So, by default Moon energy is manifested much more in a woman than a man.
We understand how Moon’s gravity affects us and how it affects the ebb and flow of the ocean. And we can surely feel its influence on us and other people as well, whenever there is a Full Moon especially. There is a deep connection between what happens in the sky and what happens here on Earth. And our ancestors were greatly connected with Nature, trying to learn the power of the Moon cycle throughout hundreds of years. Many various rituals and tasks were performed only during a certain phase of the Moon. Farmers would look up at the Moon to understand when to plant and when to harvest the crop. Healers and shamans would harvest healing herbs on the Full Moon at its fullest potential to heal various health issues.
The woman’s cycle and Moon’s cycle are extremely similar. Both of them have approximately the same length of 28 days and each of them has four phases: birth, growth, maturity, and decay. And exactly all those four phases represent every life on Earth. And here is what happened when humanity started to disconnect from it.
Disconnection Consequences
Before the electricity was discovered women had ovulation with Full moon and menstruation with the New moon. That happens because the pineal gland would signal to ovaries with the help of hormones to release an egg depending on the amount of light that our brain feels when we are sleeping. During the Full Moon time, we are programmed by Nature to ovulate. That makes us menstruate during the New Moon, the time when the energy is focused on us naturally – when we need to release and let go of everything that no longer serves us. All of the emotions, habits, wounds, and our wonderful endometrium.
Unfortunately, modern life that women have now, full of artificial light everywhere, and products that do not balance our hormones, disrupts the nature of our menstrual cycle which is to be in sync with the Moon. So, most of the unpleasant sensations we have are a direct consequence of our resistance and sometimes, sadly, hate towards this amazing, perfectly natural, and feminine process of creativity. Acceptance and even celebration of our menstrual cycle is one of the most important things that every woman can do for herself. This is a beautiful opportunity to realize and to reunite with the rhythms of Nature and be a part of the global and collective healing of disruptions that were created in our world because we stopped honoring Divine Feminine. This is something that will allow us to live in harmony on our planet.
5 Ways to Synchronize Menstrual Cycle With The Moon
Let’s take a look at five main ways to synchronize your own menstrual cycle with the Moon one.
Regular observation of the Moon
It means exactly that – go outside at night and look at the moon, following it on the sky. Pay more attention to it and notice where is it at every night. Just this simple eye contact will already stimulate your female organs to naturally ovulate on Full Moon.
Learn your own menstrual cycle
This is paramount. Start learning your cycle by downloading an app both for your own cycle (I have four of them) and for the Moon cycle, creating a calendar, and mark all of the moon phases there. The apps will tell you when approximately you will ovulate when you will menstruate and the length of your cycle. As you follow this, also note your feelings and emotions throughout your cycle and how they change depending on your own phase and Moon phase. This method will allow you to understand your body so well, and you can learn so many things about yourself. This also works as an amazing way to either prevent pregnancy or become pregnant naturally. Please look into “Taking Charge of Your Fertility” book, it is magic.
Let Nature balance you
Get connected with Nature as closely as possible. This will in turn harmonize our cycles. Go to bed when the Sun goes down and wake up when the Sun goes up. Eat organic and clean food, sleep in complete darkness (especially with the New Moon phase), walk under the Moonlight with the Full Moon at night, walk barefoot more often, do not sleep near any electronic devices – phones or computers.
Respect Every Phase
Every Moon Phase has its own energetic power and quality. There is no point for us to ignore or fight it because it will affect us anyway. If we fight with our feminine nature, we will hurt ourselves and miss out on the amazing gift we have – to be a woman.
Manifest More
Try to tap into your favorite way of manifesting things more. Meditate, pray, visualize, journal, do a vision board and imagine how your cycle is already synced with the Moon.
Besides these main five ways to synchronize with the Moon, there are a few more things you can do to learn to respect the Moon as the most feminine planet. This will help you with synchronization as well.
Here they are.
Ways To Respect The Moon
ꕥ Stop using any electronic devices for some time. Do the digital detox, for a week or a month. Even just for the weekend. The energy of any electronics disrupts and eventually breaks our subtle connection with Nature.
ꕥ When on your period, try to spend as much time outside as possible. I know it is tempting to stay inside and lay all day long but you will feel so much better connecting with the trees and the Earth. Take a vow of silence, stay away from Facebook and Instagram. If you want to go deeper – try the practice of bleeding into the Earth directly.
ꕥ Rethink your hygiene down under. Avoid using any tampons and chemically bleached pads. The best is to not obstruct the flow with anything, even with silicone cups. I’ve been using them myself for several years but lately felt like even them should not be there. Just let everything that needs to go out go freely.
ꕥ Rest, rest, rest. Make it a priority to schedule your rest, and aim towards sleeping 7-9 hours a day. Sleep is our everything, ladies. It is our magic pill. And during menstruation, is very crucial.
ꕥ Stop consuming toxic products, processed meats, meat with hormones and pesticides, non-organic dairy products (even organic ones are usually not good nowadays), processed sugar, carbonated drinks, any drinks with caffeine.
ꕥ Speaking of caffeine – do yourself a favor and quit coffee. You’ll thank me later. The dramatic difference in your behavior and reactions will leave you in awe. Besides, the chemicals that they spray on coffee beans are especially damaging to female organs. They work as estrogen products that are not good for us. If you absolutely cannot live without coffee (which tells me that is an addiction and you have to think about it anyway), try organic coffee or coffee alternatives.
ꕥ Avoid taking multiple pills for any issue in your body. The amount of things people take now as medications is absolutely insane. It is so much that the chemicals of these pills eventually affect our personality – how we think, react, make decisions. They alter us on a very deep level and not in a good way. If you are in pain that is a signal from your body to address a more serious issue, not taking a painkiller.
ꕥ Walk a lot and walk barefoot. Use as many opportunities as possible anywhere anytime. This valuable Earth connection is healing on many levels – on a physical by massaging your acupressure points, and on energetical by taking away all the old negative energy from you.
ꕥ Try vaginal steaming. My personal favorite, it shows us how directly we are connected to the Moon. And how with a little help of herbs and steam we can heal ourselves with just about any female disease.
Remember that you are a Feminine Goddess on Earth, and do your part in syncing yourself with Nature and the Moon. Go with this beautiful flow. This is so incredible and serene to live in sync with Nature’s rhythms.
In one of my next articles, I will be happy to share everything we should do in each cycle phase, from eating habits to business.
Hello, I love your website so much. It has helped me to learn and embrace my femininity so thank you!
I have come to reaslise that my cycle must be backwards :O. I ovulate on new moon and mensturate on full moon. Is it possible for someone like me to sync my cycle and what does that mean?
Many thanks♡
Hello Marva! Thank you for your sweet words! So happy to read it every time 🙂 Your cycle is totally normal! Menstruation and ovulation can fluctuate sometimes and it is okay. I suggest you to read a book “Red Moon” by Miranda Gray, she explains very well why we ovulate and menstruate in different Moon phases and what that means. <3
This is an amazing website, and I am truly thankful for you and your energy. It is helping me so much. I read something on here every few days, to help remind me of who I really am. I have been masculine all my life, due to the fear I had as a child watching my Mum, and then found competitive sport which has reinforced the masculine even more. Now, at 40, I find my relationships a mess…..and I am tired. Turning to my feminine energy has been life changing, and it has only been a couple of weeks since I started learning about it. I am so thankful to you. x
Dear Lisa, it is never too late 😉 I am glad you find my website inspiring. This is what I am here for! Much love to you!
