We have already covered four previous chakras: Anahata, Manipura, Swadhistana and Muladhara. Now it is time to talk about next one, Vishuddha. And this chakra-level can be hard to reach for most women. If we talk about growth and experience, that is.
Vishudda Chakra
This is a throat energetic center that is most active at the age from 28 to 35 years old. What does it really mean? It means that normally and ideally, by this age woman should be able to self-express herself in a healthy and harmonious way. This is the time for creativity, for expression, for soul manifestation. It is very important for a woman at this age to create, and not only for or within family, but for other people. Yes, it is a great time to share your experience and knowledge with other women.
This is the time of life when love from Anahata chakra goes up to Vishuddha (or should go, at least). That is the reason why a woman can manifest herself not only through children but through people. Now is the time when she expands beyond her family and loved ones, and goes further away in her self-continuation. Her friends and female neighbors and colleagues now become her sisters, and their children become her children. If chakras work well, there will no problem with heart opening. It will keep open more and more, expanding and pouring love out to everyone, and it becomes purer and deeper.
This is why it is very important for a woman to really express and share her experience at this age. It is really good to talk about it, to convey something kind, pure and useful to other people. She would naturally want to inspire and motivate people, especially women, to grow and to spread love as well. This is how woman expresses herself through Vishuddha. The difference between previous chakra, Anahata, is that on that chakra she was feeling the love and was growing it, now on Vishuddha, she can manifest it outwards through art and speech.
When we reach Vishuddha age, we naturally seek knowledge. We want to find explanation and new understanding of our life. This is when our deep inner essence comes out, which makes us look at the world with a more philosophical point of view. Our tolerance grows and our borders expand. Most women become more accepting and understanding of other people, acting with less judging. Because of that, the quality of life changes, relationships deepen and woman can feel her own spirituality for the first time. This is when she meets her Divine feminine power for the first time.
For this reason, it is very important for a woman to have an opportunity to nourish her spiritual needs. Good, kind communication with right people that she can share her values with is very beneficial.
Impaired Vishuddha
Unfortunately, most women don’t do all of that. Most women by this age become more negative about people and life in general. They develop cynical point of view on many things. Women like this usually say how “all men are the same”, how “life is not fair” and “world is a mess”. They are hurt, disappointed, wounded and very cold in general. Naturally, their heart is tightly closed.
Of course there is no desire to receive any sort of new knowledge or make discoveries with this attitude. And another reason usually is because a woman like that thinks she already knows everything about this life and this world. However, Vishuddha chakra is still most active at this time, so woman still wants to share. And what she shares about is mostly negative. She teaches younger women not to trust anyone, to take advantage of people. She talks about how unfair she was treated by life and just shares her sad life story. Another route here is she doesn’t want to talk at all, and constantly feels a lump in her throat.
So, if this woman doesn’t share, doesn’t want to learn and to stay open, doesn’t want to grow, doesn’t look for depth, she becomes heavily disappointed in life. She tries to go back to lower levels, in an attempt to find some joy again (going back to find happiness in dating, sex or eating, for instance). However, the time for those chakras has already gone and doesn’t bring the same quality of joy as it was before. Because there is no way back, only forward.
So, with time, with this disappointment and lumps in the throat, a woman starts to dim. She stops glowing, she develops first wrinkles, first fears of getting old, first fears of death. So she feels lost and doesn’t know what to do now and where to go. She doesn’t know how to share and express her feelings and emotions anymore. This is the time when the most heaviest and longest depressions happen. All because of lack of knowledge of what to do at this age.
Something tells me that most, if not all of you met these women. We see them on the streets, in the magazines, online. They motivate to be/stay strong and independent, they explain why all men are the same, they say that life is ruthless. The saddest part is that younger generations actually listen to them. They start thinking the same way, they mistrust and disrespect men, take advantage of them and never open their hearts. They avoid open up in order to avoid being hurt as well.
But now that we know that, we understand this is not the way. So what can we do to lessen this sadness and to bring more happiness and loving relationships? Here are some tips on healing, nourishing and opening our Vishuddha.
Vishuddha Rebirth
- Start recognizing your emotions and feelings, and learn to describe them. Better yet – learn to share them. Out loud.
- Start healing with creativity. Art therapy, dancing your wounds away (as in therapeutic spiritual dancing), music therapy, singing are all very healing creative ways.
- Find your tribe. Find a place where you can elevate yourself psychologically and emotionally, where you can feel good and can meet loving intentions, authentic kind values.
- Rewrite your negative past life experience. Just think of a situation and write about a different, positive scenario.
- Find your Teacher. Call it whatever you want, but having a Role model or Mother figure or Female mentor in life is extremely nourishing and powerful. It is important that this person is overfilled with love.
- Learn and read more about spiritual growth of women, about nature of women, sacred mission and karmic lessons.
- Attend workshops, classes and trainings on self-discovery and spirituality.
- Share your findings, insights, realizations and experiences with good intentions.
Until the next time, when we talk about Ajna chakra!
